Description
This is a super rare, original, Vintage 70s Harley Davidson Eazy Rider “Indian” Primary Chain Belt with the four link wide chain and very cool larger “Floral” design buckle. It’s in almost mint shape in a size 37”, a super cool belt! These were also sold by MM Limited (Chicago) in the Eazy Rider Magazines back in the day and I've included a couple of their old ads (see pix, ads don't come with the belt). Its EZ Rider name was “The Indian”. It’s in super nice shape, appearing the have had little wear.
Most 3-link primary chain belts have the 3-link, 1.25” wide chain and were called “Sportsters” in the Eazy Rider ads (see pix). This is the much rarer, harder to find “Indian” style with the 4-link chain. It’s a full 1 5/8” wide (see pix for comparison).
The chain length is 34” from hooks to chain end and the buckle adds another 3” so this is a size 37” belt. It’s in excellent condition with all its links clean and flexible, not frozen and rusted like these primary chain belt links tend to get. The chrome is extra shiny.
The buckle is 4.25” long and 2.25” wide. It has an etched “Floral” design set on a steel or chrome plate. It’s in mint shape appearing to have had minor use.
The belt weighs 2 lbs, 10 oz with “D.I.D. 35,
Japan
” stamped on the edge of the chain links. It would look cool on a pair of vintage
Levis
or your fav-rav denims, a super cool belt for the serious biker or memorabilia collector.
Please know your size....this is a chain metal belt and will only go 37" long!!! Measure a favorite belt from where the prong hits the buckle to your most comfortable adjustment hole setting (your real size).
