Vintage 1940s 1950s Womens Scalloped Alligator Skin and Head Belt Small

Superb Vintage circa 1940s 1950s Alligator skin belt with head. Lovely scalloped shaping created through the teardrop shaped piecework. Double buckle closure.
The leather is in excellent condition. Not dry or brittle. Belt is in overall Very Good to Excellent condition for its age. Condition notes: slight wear to left side buckle strap & a couple of broken stitches there (see photos #8 & 11). A part of the head at left side has been professionally re-glued to the backing surface (repaired with acid free leather glue & retains its flexibility). Structurally sound and wonderful belt with many years of life in it. This belt is a beauty and I’ve never seen one quite like it!

Waist: 27” when worn at smallest buckle notch, up to 28.5” at largest buckle notch.
Height: 3” center front panel with alligator head.
Teardrop scallop pieces are 4”w and 2.5”H
Buckle strap length: 3.5”
