    Description

    A five page letter...he's in a French Port and will soon have to learn the French language. Troops from around the world are there in their military dress. There is a comparison going on about those complaining in America and how sad it is in France; he tells about the women in black (mourning) and tells us that if the Germans win, the world will be in ruins...he begins to wax profound about doing his and America's best...very patriotic (this guy was one of our best) very sweet overall theme to the wife he loves...not sure the month...the postmark on the envelope in Mass is August 17 so this might be July...
