Description
This is such a classic, and classy bracelet. For those ladies who wear pearls, you really have to like this one!  It's a vintage SOLID 14K GOLD Akoya pearl bangle bracelet, with 13 creamy, lustrous pearls wired to sit right at the top of the wrist.  It will fit up to a 6.5" wrist.
Our estate jeweler mentions that these are high quality Akoya pearls. There are no visible blemishes, they have a ton of lustre and thick nacre, from viewing them under a loupe.  They measure from 5.5 to 5.7 mm and none are damaged.  They are actually drilled and set upon a fairly thick gold bar (not a skinny wire) and are very well secured.
The inner portion of this bangle is open, and segmented, as you can see from the photos.  It opens and closes with a push clasp with extra safety arm, and it is hinged for easy access.
This is a bangle style, but it is oval, and the pearls are meant to sit at the top.  It measures 2 3/16" across the inside of the oval, and it will fit up to a 6.5" wrist (or a bit smaller) properly, with a bit of room to spare, but with the pearls staying at the top.  It is 5/16" wide.
The bracelet is hallmarked 14k and weighs a hefty 21.4 grams. It's in very fine vintage condition.  I have a gorgeous pair of pearl earrings in my listings this week as well as a pair of sapphire and pearl studs...if you want to take a look!
