Lovely c1900 14k Gold Garnet Pin/Brooch By Sloan
Presented is a beautiful 14 karat gold and garnet pin/brooch. This piece was
made by Sloan & Co of New York, and dates to around the turn of the century.
The pin is set with an oval faceted pyrope-almandite garnet, a lovely red-orange
stone. The gold setting has a beautiful finish with fine texturing around the
garnet. The brooch has a safety pin style closure.
The pin is in great condition. The garnet is securely set and has no chips.
The clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no
repairs.
This pin is stamped 14k as well as the maker's mark for Sloan & Co of New
York.
The pin is about 1 5/8 inches long.
