    Description

    A very nice theater program for performances of John Craig's
    Hamlet
    at the Castle Square Theater in Boston during the week of November 1st, 1909.
    20 pages, 3.5" x 9.25", very good condition with the principal defect being small cuts at the bottom edge (see front and back cover photos).  No writing anywhere.
    For those who wished to be seated in the most expensive box seats or orchestra and also to dine on tenderloin steak the cost for two would be .50.

    Historical Note:
    The lead actress, Mary Young, and her husband, actor John Craig, had two children, the eldest of whom, Harmon Bushnell Craig, was killed at 22 while serving in World War I. Their other son, John Craig Jr., died in Los Angeles in 1945. Mary Young died on June 23, 1971, aged 92.
