    Description

    For your consideration an antique English locket brooch from the Victorian or Edwardian period. It features double glazing which may have held plaited hair as a piece of mourning jewelry. It is marked 9ct and A&W for the purity and maker. Today it could hold a vintage photograph or a miniature painting or any number of things. The brooch features a small chain which can be safety pinned to your garment for extra security. This could be removed if one desires and as there is a small loop for the chain, this could also be converted to a pendant. The piece measures 2 1/16" or 52mm tall by 1 5/8" or 40cm. wide and 3/16" or 4mm thick, excluding the pin assembly. All in all a simple elegant brooch in lovely condition.
