  • Condition: Very Good condition, age considered. Still wearable. I note some spots on the lining, and a couple of nips and breaks in the raffia. It is a bit bent from being stored folded. Still amazing for being over 100 years old!

    Description

    Absolutely GORGEOUS antique raffia belt with crewel type hand embroidered flowers on the front and back.   It is a cummerbund style bet, wider in the front, and closes via 2 snaps.  I date this to about the early 1900s, based on style, workmanship, and the fact that I found it in a trunk full of other Victorian and Edwardian items.
    Based on the placement of the snaps, it will fit a 28" waist.  It is 30"  long overall, 4" wide at its 1.5" wide in the back.center
