6 Postcards - Italy Menton WW1 Soldier Furlough

These photos are from a collection of a WW1 soldier who visited several areas near the front on his leave and collected these photos and postcards in the process.  They were all in a scrapbook that also includes other photos and postcards of himself and his units, along with other similar postcards and photos of the era.  I have listed the entire scrapbook by each page so be sure to check out my other listings.
In this set there is a are postcards from Menton.  They include scenes from the city such as the public garden and casino, and also the tram from Menton to Sospel.  There is also a postcard of the coast and one of the border crossing in to Italy.
Of particular interest in this photo is that the solider writes in first person that these postcards were from his furlough in 1918..
