Description
Trying to pare down my shawl and scarve collection given all the time on my hands these days. There are three gorgeous Edwardian/Victorian/20 pieces that I have used as belts as well as scarves. Could also use for hats or whatever strikes your fancy. They are so gorgeous that I often wore like necklaces with vintage as well as later pieces. However, haven't used for ages so passing on for someone else to show off. Zoom in on pix to appreciate all the great detail in each one. You could dye them if you wanted a different color; would love to see what that woman who does overdyeing could do with these! The longest one is an ivory lace netting with those fabulous trumpet like ruffles at either end. It is quite long so very versatile. The white one is like a cotton netting with elongated diamond like crocheted pieces pieces at the end. The remaining one is a layer ruffled one with two layers of silk chiffon in an off white with a hint of pink with peach and blue edging and then a layer of yellow ivory netted embroidery. Exquisite! Obviously you could do whatever you like with them. They are just fab examples of Victorian textile art! Considering their age they are in remarkably good condition. There may be a break or two in lace and the white one has some faint yellowish tiny bits of discoloration on the crochet part that I am sure will come out with a soak.Measurements approximate
Long one 96x8
White cotton netted one 82x6
Ruffled one 58x5
