Description
Up for bid is a vintage postcard that has a color picture of the U.S.S. battleship New Hampshire on the front. It is postmarked 1917 and was sent from the Navy Yard Statoion in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was sent to a friend back home by a soldier from Albion, Illinois, whose name was Leon McDonald. McDonald writes "... we are packed up and afre waiting to go to the ship that takes us to France, where I will guard the aviation field ..." This World War I-era postcard is in good to very good condition (see photos). See my listings for other vintage items, including more postcards from the same era. I gladly combine shipping fees for multiple purchases when they can be packaged together, and I do ship internationally.
Please e-mail me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
