From 1905 to 1939 the Hippodrome in New York was considered the largest and most advanced theater of its time. It even had a rising glass water tank. It was located in New York at 6th Ave between West 43rd and West 44th. Sadly it was demoed and in the 1950s a new large building was built in its location called the Hippodrome NYC for office and I think residential.
This is an original souvenir program from 1912 for a show at the Hippodrome called "Under Many Flags". Has an amazing tri color cover with an Asian theme. Inside has a few pages of sheet music of some of the songs in the show, some facts about the theater as well as some interior pictures of the theater, the program page with the actors names and then photos of some of the scenes from the show. Has some old fun ads for New York also including The Hamburg- American Steamship Line, Adam's Pepsin, Old Quaker Pure Rye Whiskey, Franklin Fine Candies and on the back cover an ad for a "talking machine" by the  Columbia Phonograph Company. Would really look nice framed, perfect for a New York Theater buff or someone that lives in the newer Hippodrome building. Measures 9 x 12 inches. All pages attached. No tears.
