14kt Gold Victorian Pin or Pendant with Gorgeous 15 Carat Amethyst

This intricately designed and elegant 14kt gold Victorian pin is an exquisite statement piece.  The approximately 15.8 carat amethyst is consistent in color (no color zoning).  This would be a stunning gift for a special someone with a February birthday.
The richly-hued purple amethyst measures 14mm long x 7.5mm wide x 9mm deep, and is expertly cut and eye-clean.  Mounted expertly, the stone appears to float above forty-eight gleaming freshwater seed pearls of various sizes that surround its setting. The pearls range in color from a very soft, light gray to a gleaming bright white (see photos for more details).  The range in their colors and sizes, as well as the sheer number of the pearls creates depth and dimension. This is a very special piece of jewelry.
The brooch is secured by a C clasp and can easily be converted to a pendant by simply attaching a necklace to its bail.  The bail folds down when not in use (see photos) and is completely concealed by the large amethyst stone.
This piece is well-preserved and in excellent condition.
